Why I love being a Pet Photographer:

During the Summer of 2010 I spent a long time taking a look through literally hundreds of photographs that I had taken over the years of my pets. The most recent pet portraits (of my Cockatiels Fred and Barney) were taken with a good camera and those pictures I will always treasure.

As the years rolled back though, I got to photographs of my cats Whiskey and Chico and Scruff my dog. These were taken in the 1970's and early 1980's with very basic equipment and the results were pretty awful to be honest!

I loved these animals very much, and felt a little sad that I hadn't got better photographs to remember them by. All of these animals obviously had their own personalities and the photographs that I have of them just do not do them justice.
